Community Missions of the Niagara Frontier will give thanks if some turkeys flock to its doors before Thanksgiving.
The agency at 1570 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, is gearing up to feed some 250 needy families a traditional Thanksgiving meal. To do so, it needs at least 70 frozen turkeys to be donated.
Along with frozen turkeys, other items that are always in need during the holidays are canned corn, instant potatoes, canned green beans, boxes or bags of stuffing, boxes of macaroni and cheese, and cans of cream of mushroom soup.
All items for the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive may be dropped off any time at its front door. Any excess turkeys will be held for Christmas distribution, when the agency again offers a traditional meal to needy families.

Community Missions serves 80 to 120 people daily at its free lunches every Monday through Saturday.
