Young musicians of GBYO playing Mozart, Schumann

The Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra is tuning up for a concert 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at Slee Hall on UB's North Campus. Led by Music Director Ansgarius Aylward, assistant concertmaster of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the group has planned a colorful program featuring Berlioz's "Roman Carnival Overture"; Tchaikovsky's "Little Russian" Symphony; and the first movement of Schumann's Piano Concerto, featuring Nichols School sophomore Michael McClure. Four young woodwind soloists are also playing Mozart. Tickets are $10 at the door.
