‘Bliss’ comic was insulting to disabled senior citizens

The “Bliss” cartoon on the comics page of Nov. 3 showed two women with walkers, an old man with a walker and someone in a wheelchair going toward the Wake Robin Retirement Community. The caption was: “Walk of shame.”

I live in a retirement facility and I and many of my friends and neighbors use walkers, canes and wheelchairs. There is nothing shameful about such use. Harry Bliss should be ashamed of himself for this offensive cartoon and should apologize to the many seniors who are handicapped and require such aids.
