Help Me Grow partners with Buffalo schools, Say Yes

Buffalo Public Schools and Say Yes to Education Buffalo have a new partner in making sure kids are ready to learn by the time they reach kindergarten.

Help Me Grow Western New York, which connects families of young children to services for early childhood development, has announced plans to expand efforts in Buffalo schools, where it will work more closely with the district's parent centers, community schools and universal pre-kindergarten programs.

Help Me Grow - which holds a grant from The Ralph C. Wilson Foundation to spread the initiative throughout the region - provides free support to families, caregivers and educators to help identify young children at risk for developmental or behavioral challenges, said Lynn Pullano, diretor of Help Me Grow WNY.

It then works one-on-one with families to connect them with services and supports to address any identified issues.
