Food delivery driver shot with BBs in robbery attempt

A food delivery driver working for Skip the Dishes was shot in the face with a BB gun in an attempted robbery at 3:17 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Berwyn Avenue.

The driver said he was called to the address and as he attempted to deliver the food he was approached by three man who tried to get in his car. One tried to enter the driver's side and another tried to open the driver's side back door, according to the police report.

He told police he tried to fight with the suspects and one of them pulled out a BB gun and shot him in the face. The victim was able to flee the scene to the Buffalo Fire Department Engine 33, where officers responded. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment, police reported.
