Duchenne benefit to be held on Saturday

Suneel's Light Foundation's 2017 "Night to Shine" charity event will be held 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Park Country Club, 4949 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville.

The non-profit Suneel's Light raises funds for genetic research it hopes will lead to a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and for public awareness efforts.

Along with food and drink, there will be autographed Bills and Sabres items as part of a silent auction that includes numerous items from local restaurants, shops and companies. The event will conclude with a live auction of unique auction items.

U.S. Rep. Chris and Mary Sue Collins are honorary chairs. Chris Collins has supported efforts to advance medical treatments for diseases like Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
