Elmwood farmers market planning indoor holiday market

The Elmwood Village Farmers Market is planning an eight-week indoor holiday market starting Nov. 25 inside St. John's Grace Episcopal Church, 51 Colonial Circle.

The outdoor farmers market traditionally ends the last Saturday before Thanksgiving. In previous years, the market has moved to the SUNY Buffalo State campus during the winters.

The holiday market is scheduled to operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 25 through Jan. 13.

Vendors expected to participate include Alpine Made, Barrel & Brine, Biscotti for Everybotti, BreadHive Worker Co-op, Butter Block, Carla’s Crumby Creations, Darling Bee, Fetch Dog Treats, Kindred Kreek, Lilly Belle Meads, Native Offerings Farm, Niagara Mushrooms, Plato Dale Farm, Rooted Locally, Victorianbourg Wine Estate and Whimsy Confection.

Holiday music and refreshments will be sold at the market.

A program that provides low-income people who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits with a $1 for $1 match, up to $20, to purchase fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables at the market will continue.
