Medina man faces DWI charges after hit-run crash

Keith Jones

State Police in Lockport reported Tuesday they arrested a Medina man for aggravated driving while intoxicated following a hit-run accident Friday on Dysinger Road in the Town of Lockport.

When troopers apprehended Keith A. Jones, 62, at Beattie and Willow avenues in the City of Lockport shortly after the accident, they said they noticed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Officers said that he failed a field sobriety test and registered a 0.23 percent blood alcohol reading on a breath test.

In addition to DWI, he was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving with a suspended registration and numerous other traffic charges. He was issued tickets to appear in Lockport City Court at a later date.
