Garden Notes for Nov. 3-10

East Park Garden Club will meet at noon Nov. 3 and Nov. 27 at the Grand Island Public Library. Members will prepare decorations for the Victorian Christmas event at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site (Wilcox Mansion). Call 773-5838.

Tickets are now available for Victorian Christmas events at the TR Site. The events run Nov. 30 to Dec. 9 and include an opening night beer and wine tasting and silent auction, luncheons, vintage fashion shows, an Irish Christmas celebration and more. Call 884-0095. Visit the website for details.

Countryside Garden Club of Elma will hold a business meeting and election of officers at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 at the home of member Barb Kless. Lunch will follow along with a presentation by Dorothy Julius, “Holiday Decorating Making.”

Lancaster Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 8  in St. John’s Lutheran Hall, 55 Pleasant Ave. David Newman from Newmies’ Bees will present “Don’t Worry Bee Happy.”

Western New York Herb Study Group will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 8  in the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave. Janet Pope-Schumer will introduce members to “Herbal Bitters.”

South Town Gardeners will meet at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 10 at the West Seneca Senior Center, 4620 Seneca St. Lyn Chimera will present a program, “Eco Friendly Gardening and Lawn Care.” Guests welcome. Call 668-0209.
