Man, 25, killed in shooting on Kensington Avenue
Buffalo Police said a 25-year-old man was struck and killed by gunfire shortly before 3 p.m. Monday in the first block of Thatcher Avenue near Kensington Avenue.
Police were called to the 900 block of Kensington Avenue for the report of a shooting. A body that had been covered by police was visible in a driveway near the corner of Kensington and Thatcher avenues.
Authorities said the victim was declared dead at the scene.
Relatives and others who knew the victim appeared distraught and in one case had to be restrained by police who kept bystanders, who stood outside in the rain, behind yellow police caution tape.
