Man stabbed after confronting vandal who slashed tires on his SUV

A South Buffalo man told police he was stabbed in the arm and stomach after confronting the person who slashed all four tires on his SUV.

The victim said the attack took place on the 100 block of Fay Street, off Walden Avenue, on the East Side. It happened sometime before 5 a.m. Saturday, police reported.

The victim said someone slashed the tires on his Ford SUV before running north on Fay. The victim said he caught up to the vandal, and that's when the assailant stabbed him with a sharp object, causing a deep gash to his left arm and a small cut to his stomach.
