Olmsted 10th-grader in serious condition after cardiac arrest on Sunday

Malcolm Rice, a 10th-grader at Frederick Law Olmsted School 156, remains hospitalized in "very serious condition" after going into cardiac arrest Sunday playing basketball, according to Olmsted Principal Michael Gruber.

Gruber said Malcolm's family asked him to inform others of his condition. The principal has asked people to remember Malcolm and his family "in your thoughts and prayers."

No other information has been released by Buffalo Public Schools.
