Family engagement workshop set for Nov. 30

A family engagement conference featuring national education leaders will take place Nov. 30 at Salvatore's Italian Gardens, 6461 Transit Road in Depew.

The daylong event  is sponsored by Every Person Influences Children and Parenting Network of WNY.

Presentations on family engagement will be led by Ken Braswell, executive director of Fathers Incorporated of Atlanta, and Angelica Infante-Green, deputy commissioner for the New York State Education Department.

Breakout sessions will address topics including: working with families with trauma, special education parents, reaching hard to reach families and making the case for family engagement.
