Youngstown man imprisoned for rape of teen girl and two burglaries

A Youngstown man who raped a 15-year-old girl June 28 and took part in two burglaries was sentenced Tuesday to four to six years in state prison.

Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III tacked on 10 years of post-release supervision for Justin M. Clark, 20, of Applewood Drive.

The rape occurred in the basement of a friend's house in Youngstown.

Defense attorney Brian J. Hutchison said Clark also confessed to involvement in two Feb. 11 burglaries in Youngstown, at a garage on Lake Street and a shed on Third Street. He acted as a lookout for Anthony J. Barto, 22, of Lockport Street, Youngstown, who is awaiting sentencing on two counts of third-degree burglary.

"You were like a one-man crime wave for a few months," Murphy told Clark.
