Sweet Home links two to school threat

The Sweet Home Central School District was able to identify two individuals it believes was responsible for making a threatening phone call to the middle school on Tuesday, district officials said.

The two do not live in the Sweet Home district so their names were passed on to law enforcement in their home community, said Sweet Home Superintendent Anthony Day.

"In consultation with the Amherst police, we believe there is no longer any threat to our school and its students and staff," Day said in a prepared statement.

The district did maintain the added police presence that was already in place on campus for Wednesday.
