Meet the Democratic candidates in the City of Tonawanda

City of Tonawanda Democratic candidates will hold a forum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in City Hall, 200 Niagara St.

The forum was originally planned as a debate, but the Republican candidates declined the invitation.

Republican mayoral candidate Tim Toth said the Republican candidates will interact with the public in a door-to-door campaign.

Toth, the current Fourth Ward Councilman, will take on incumbent Mayor Rick Davis, a Democrat.

Democratic council candidates are Third Ward incumbent Sean Rautenstrauch, and Dawn Kammerdeiner and David Mileham, running for open seats in the second and fourth wards.  Incumbent Second Ward Councilor Jackie Smilinich is not seeking re-election.

Republican council candidates are First Ward incumbent Charles Gilbert, and Blake Boyle, Mike Young, and Sharon Stuart, running for the second, third and fourth wards, respectively.
