Former Niagara Falls air base worker is sentenced in child porn case

A former Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station employee, found to have downloaded child pornography onto his work computer, avoided jail time Monday.

Cory MacPhee, 51, of Plank Road, Cambria, was placed on probation for 10 years by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr.

Kloch also rated MacPhee a Level 1 sex offender, the least severe classification.

Niagara County Assistant District Attorney Peter M. Wydysh said MacPhee pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possession of a sexual performance by a child after a lengthy investigation that found the material on his computer in February 2015.
