Vic Carucci’s NFL Power Rankings: Week Seven

(Through Thursday’s game. Last week’s ranking in parentheses)

  1. Philadelphia. Having the NFL’s top third-down offense has carried them a long way. (3)

  1. New England. They’re lucky to have escaped MetLife Stadium with a win. (2)

  1. Pittsburgh. Well, Martavis Bryant, apparently you’re stuck with these guys. (12)

  1. Kansas City. After two losses in a row, the Chiefs don’t look so mighty anymore. (1)

  1. L.A. Rams. Todd Gurley is hating the whole London thing, but at least his team is winning. (9)

  1. Seattle. Rested and ready to roll against the Giants? (6)

  1. Green Bay. Without Aaron Rodgers, it could be a long rest of the season. (4)

  1. Houston. Time to chill, but exciting times await for Deshaun Watson. (8)

  1. Minnesota. They have to be feeling pretty good about what’s going on in the rest of their division. (15)

  1. Carolina. Mum’s apparently the word with Cam Newton. (10)

  1. Buffalo. Is this the week the running game finally gets going? (11)

  1. Oakland. Desperately needed win vs. Chiefs might have saved the Raiders’ season. (21)

  1. Tampa Bay. Apparently, Jameis Winston only needed one practice to show he’s ready for the Bills. (13)

  1. Dallas. And back comes Ezekiel Elliott. For now. (14)

  1. Washington. Huge opportunity to knock the Eagles off their perch. (17)

  1. New Orleans. They have to be feeling pretty good about facing Rodgers-less Pack. (20)

  1. Detroit. After that ugly loss to the Saints, these guys need a break. (5)

  1. Atlanta. A trip to Foxborough, Mass., doesn’t look like much of a cure. (7)

  1. Tennessee. Browns present a pretty good chance for a second win in a row. (22)

  1. Denver. Run defense needs to rebound after abysmal showing vs. Giants. (16)

  1. Baltimore. The owner says he’s happy with the team’s direction, but for how long? (18)

  1. Jacksonville. Leonard Fournette’s injury provided a major scare. (19)

  1. Cincinnati. Will confidence-boosting win vs. Bills carry into Pittsburgh? (23)

  1. Miami. Having Mike Pouncey back from a concussion would be big. (24)

  1. N.Y. Jets. Plain and simple, they were robbed vs. the Patriots. (25)

  1. Arizona. Who said Adrian Peterson was washed up? (26)

  1. N.Y. Giants. Did Ben McAdoo save his job by surrendering play-calling? (32)

  1. Chicago. After beating the Ravens, Bears look to build some momentum. (28)

  1. LA. Chargers. Riding the wave of a big win vs. Raiders, these guys can be dangerous. (29)

  1. Indianapolis. It keeps looking less likely Andrew Luck plays this season. (27)

  1. San Francisco. The Niners can compete … they just can’t get over that hump. (30)

32. Cleveland. Another shakeup seems inevitable, a does more losing. (32)
