Maintenance worker charged with sexually assaulting residents at Orchard Park apartments

Orchard Park police have arrested a 75-year-old maintenance worker at an apartment complex who is accused of sexually assaulting several female residents of the building over the summer.

Town police arrested Robert J. Bykowicz, who was a resident of the complex, on Oct. 11. The department announced the arrest Friday. Bykowicz is charged with two counts of sexual abuse, forcible touching and criminal sexual act in incidents involving two residents, according to Orchard Park police.

He was held for arraignment, with bail set at $15,000. Police did not identify the apartment complex where Bykowicz worked, and Orchard Park Police Lt. Patrick Fitzgerald did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

Anyone with information on possible additional victims is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 662-6475.
