Bandits sign goalie Alex Buque to one-year deal

The Buffalo Bandits locked up a goalie competing for their starting job, signing Alex Buque to a one-year deal.

Buque, a three-year NLL veteran, was acquired from the Colorado Mammoth in August along with Callum Crawford in exchange for Ryan Benesch and a conditional third-round pick in the 2018 draft. He's spent his entire National Lacrosse League career with the Mammoth, posting a 7-9 record, 10.88 goals against average and .773 save percentage. He shined this summer with the New Westminster Salmonbellies of the Western Lacrosse Association, winning the league's championship and earning the playoff MVP award.

Anthony Cosmo, the Bandits starter in 2017, hinted at retirement last season but hasn't made an official announcement. Davide DiRuscio, who's spent the last three seasons with Buffalo, will also be in camp.
