STAMP, Donald

STAMP - Donald 91, of Freedom Village in Holland, formerly of Buffalo, New York, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Don was born July 20, 1926, in Buffalo, New York, to Howard and Margaret (Shuttleworth) Stamp. He graduated from high school and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. After his service to his country he would go on to get his master's at the University of Buffalo. He would then go on to teach high school history for several years at Chautauqua High School. He would finish out his career with Monsanto Chemical Company in sales. Don was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Mary Stamp, his daughter Pamela Cook, grandson Mark Czajkowski, brother Phil Stamp, sister and brother-in-law Marcia and Grant Hauber, and his second wife Barbara Stamp. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia and Steven Van Kampen, daughter Susan and Mark Czajkowski, son-in-law David Cook, son Michael Stamp, and grandchildren: Courtney and Adam Haimour, Benjamin and April Cook, Jordan Cook, Ashley Cook and several great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Marianne Stamp, nephews and nieces: Kevin and Susan Stamp, Tom and Debra Stamp, Rob and Susan Stamp, Katie and Joe Hayek and Grant and Kelly Hauber. A visitation will be held at 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Doctor Chad Pierce will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa.
