Niagara, Robert Morris to donate exhibition game proceeds for hurricane relief efforts

Niagara announced that the proceeds from their men's basketball exhibition game with Robert Morris at 7 p.m. on Oct. 27 will benefit hurricane relief efforts.

The Niagara Athletic ticket office will also be accepting donations at the game and over the phone. Proceeds will be donated to United Way, Greater Niagara, and distributed to their agencies in Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico.

"We're happy we can help those in need through the sport of basketball with the proceeds from the game to be donated to help hurricane victims," Niagara coach Chris Casey said.

"This is a great opportunity to be involved in a game that goes beyond college basketball," Robert Morris head coach Andrew Toole said. "What has happened with the devastating hurricanes this year is a reminder to cherish what's important, and that's the family and friends you surround yourself with each day. Our game with Niagara is a fantastic way to help play a part in helping those who are in the most need."
