Armstrong's Barber Shop in West Seneca is offering free haircuts for veterans from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

"My grandfather was a World War II veteran," shop owner Zachary Armstrong said. "We offer daily discounts for veterans. I believe they deserve to get more."

The haircuts will be by appointment only at the shop at 2852 Seneca St. at Thorndale Avenue. Call 248-2842 for an appointment. There also will be snacks and refreshments for veterans, even if they don't get haircuts.

"It's my little way of saying thank you on their day," Armstrong said. "Some of these guys gave their lives. I'm just giving a haircut."

Armstrong said he opened the shop, which has three other barbers, in January.
