Deputies searching for truck involved in Clarence hit-and-run

Erie County Sheriff's investigators are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of a small truck involved in a hit-and-run crash with a passenger vehicle at Salt and County roads in Clarence at about 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle rolled over and a mother and two children inside suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office. The children were taken to Women & Children's Hospital and the mother was evaluated and released at the scene.

The truck was described as a white box delivery or semi truck with a trailer that would have significant front-end damage. It was last seen headed south on Salt and it may have turned onto Keller or Croop roads. Sheriff's officials asked homeowners with surveillance cameras in the area to call 716-858-2903 and reference case number CL# 17-086498. They also asked any witnesses to call.
