A free electronics recycling event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in the parking lot of Erie 1 BOCES, 355 Harlem Road, West Seneca.
“Televisions, computers and other electronics contain materials that are not safe to put in a landfill and under state law it is illegal to put these items out to the curb with your regular trash,” said state Sen. Patrick M. Gallivan, R-Elma, who announced the event.
Items that will be accepted include computers and computer accessories, printers, ink and toner cartridges, monitors, televisions (four per vehicle), microwave ovens, copiers and fax machines, telephones, radios, video and audio equipment and most small appliances.
Items not accepted include refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and televisions and monitors with broken glass. A complete list is available at: http://www.sunnking.com
