Several Buffalo Bills alumni plan to visit Erie County Medical Center on Monday in an effort to encourage the public to catch cancer early.
Booker Edgerson, Lou Piccone, Jeff Nixon and Ed Rutkowski are among former Bills who will be on hand for the Crucial Catch Day health fair from noon to 3 p.m. in the second-floor cafeteria at the hospital, 462 Grider St.
Free cancer and other health screenings will be provided, along with information about all types of cancer, and health and wellness tips.
Free flu shots also will be offered to the first 100 people who RSVP by calling 898-5857.
The screening initiative will be made possible through the NFL, Bills Alumni Foundation and ECMC.
