Marcus Foligno, the former Sabres winger/heartthrob, got his Minnesota Wild career off to a decent start by setting up a goal in each of their first two games.
But Game Three didn't go so well for the Buffalo native. Foligno not only got rocked in a fight with the Blackhawks' John Hayden on Thursday night, but he apparently got hit so hard that he fractured his face.
Here's the video of the fight:

And here's the right hook that did the damage.

A penalty box shot showed Foligno with nice gash on his cheek. He didn't return to the game.

On Friday, we found out Foligno actually fractured his face.

The team said he'll have a procedure to repair a "left facial fracture" and will miss about a week.
How could this get any worse?
The Foligno family was reportedly flying in for Marcus' game Saturday against his older brother, Nick, and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
I hear Foligno may have broken facial bone. 20 family members coming in for Nick vs Marcus Sat., Vikings gm Sunday. Has to be disappointing

The Wild visit the Sabres on Nov. 22, so at least Foligno should be healed by then.
