Two players from last year's roster are returning to the Bandits, as Buffalo signed forward Mitch Jones and transition player Tim Edwards to one-year deals.
Jones is expected to have a large role in the offensive unit after an enormous summer in the Western Lacrosse Association. He finished fourth in the league in scoring with 62 points in 17 games and led the league in scoring in the playoffs. He notched 55 points in 12 postseason games.
The offensive explosion comes months after a career best year with the Bandits in 2016-'17. Jones set career highs in goals (31), assists (38) and points (69) in his fifth year in the National Lacrosse League. He ranked second on the Bandits in goals and points.
Edwards, a Canisius College grad, made his NLL debut last season. He notched two goals and seven points and snagged 67 loose balls in 12 games last season. He also helped the Bandits replace Jay Thorimbert at the face-off X, winning 184 of his 344 draws. He was a fourth-round selection in the 2015 NLL Draft.
