Man wounded in Jamestown shooting

Jamestown Police are seeking a man in connection with a shooting Thursday that left a man with a gunshot wound to his forearm, police said.

The shooting happened at about 3 p.m. in an apartment on Liberty Street, Jamestown Police said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was allegedly shot by an individual who left the apartment with another man, according to police.

Police said the two men were wearing dark clothing and hats. One was believed to have been wearing red or purple jeans, police said.

Investigators obtained a photo they believe is of the two men who fled the scene, authorities said.

The victim was taken to UPMC Hospital and was treated for injuries that weren't life-threatening, police said.

Police asked anyone with information to call 483-7536 or leave an anonymous tip at 483-TIPS (8477).
