Children can get a head start on their Halloween candy collections from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the annual Trick-or-Treat Weekend at the Buffalo Zoo.
More than 20 trick-or-treat stations will be set up around the zoo. Youngsters, who are encouraged to come in costume, can meet and have their photos taken with members of the Superhero Alliance of WNY, along with movie and animal characters. The zoo’s animals also will enjoy special Halloween treats throughout the weekend.
Trick-or-treating is free for youngsters with zoo admission. Tickets are $9 for kids ages 2 to 12, $12 for adults. Hayrides throughout the zoo also will be available for a small fee. For more information, visit buffalozoo.org.
