Those who live with diabetes know the challenging condition must be monitored closely. This includes blood work, medications, making daily choices about the foods you eat, your exercise routine, fluid intake and other healthy planning.
A SUNY Buffalo State science professor who has lived with diabetes for two decades will talk about ways to achieve and maintain good health during a five-week series of 90-minute classes that will start next week in Aurora.
Don Birdd also will share current research materials that should be helpful.
The free series will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and run the same time Oct. 17, 24, 30 and Nov. 14 at the Rural Outreach Center (ROC), 730 Olean Road. Family member are also invited to attend. To register, call Ruthie Hunt at 220-4834.
