Lockport police discover alleged meth lab in home

Lockport police attempting to execute an arrest warrant early Friday say they stumbled onto a methamphetamine lab in a Grand Street house.

Michael C. Fura, 34, and Heather L. Moran, 47, were charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of meth.

Police said that Fura, who was wanted by police, asked if Moran could retrieve his court slip. As the woman did so, the officer saw in a bedroom a white powder on a glass plate with burned tinfoil next to it, jars of clear liquid, a bottle containing a white substance with tubing sticking out of it, and other objects associated with meth production.

Two other persons found in the home were not charged, but the investigation remains open, police said.
