Christmas follows autumn on the streets of Kenmore

Fall is here and the Kenmore Village Improvement Society has spent hours decorating the Delaware Avenue Village Green and gazebo areas with cornstalks, scarecrows, lights, straw, leaves and ribbons to celebrate the season.

But they won't take too much time to rest on their hay stacks, holiday decorating planning sessions will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at the Community Center, 135 Wilber Ave. in Kenmore.

Decorating for the holiday will take place at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 18 in the Village Green. Volunteers are welcome to plan and help decorate each season.

The KVIS is an all-volunteer group and raises funds necessary to purchase the decorations.

"We hope that when people see the decorations placed with care they are pleased with how they look and know that we love Kenmore," said KVIS President Melissa Foster.
