West Seneca students raising money for new town library

West Seneca Central School students are raising money to furnish the new West Seneca Library in the new community center.

Each school has a water jug with the slogan, "It takes CENTS to help the library grow!'

The school that collects the most money by spring will win a grand prize: a private tour of the new library before it opens to the public.

The library will feature comfortable reading areas, computers, laptops, study/tutoring rooms, modern and accessible meeting rooms, a teen area, children's area, outdoor space, cafe, gym and office space. Construction is to be completed by May.

The money raised by students will be used for non-construction purposes, such as furniture and materials for the Maker Space, an area available for community use for various hands-on projects.
