High-crime areas in Buffaloshould want police presence
We have many districts in the City of Buffalo and the crime rate may differ vastly from one district to the other. I was listening to one of our city’s leaders claim that the police are being unfair to certain areas of the city, and I find that unfair.
For example, if the University District had a higher crime rate than all of the other districts, would it be the right thing to set up checkpoints leading to or from that area to deter or eliminate the chances of drugs and guns moving through that district? If I was a resident of a high-crime area, I would certainly welcome that police presence.
