CRS Companies and Zaepfel Development Co. have revealed the basic design – and an identity – for their planned, $8 million project of apartments and commercial space on a prime Williamsville corner.
The developers plan to construct a four-story, L-shaped building of 24 apartments and commercial space on the site of 5353 Main St., 8 S. Long St. and 20 S. Long St.
The project is named The Williams after Jonas Williams, founder of the village's first mill.
The developers could submit a more-detailed site plan by December.CRS President John E. "Skip" Cerio said an initial thought of building a parking deck and adding 12 apartment units likely won't happen because of financial considerations. So that isn't included in the sketch plan submitted to the Village Planning Board.
Architect Josh Best's plan shows a mix of exterior design elements meant to fit the village's character.
