Artists' exhibit shows off beauty along 108-mile Southtowns Scenic Byway

More than two dozen artists are featured in “Changing Seasons: The Byway Experience,” an exhibit inspired by the sights along the Southtowns Scenic Byway, a 108-mile loop between Orchard Park and Ellicottville.

"View From The Top" by Sharon Bartell, part of the "Changing Seasons: The Byway Experience" exhibit, captures the pastoral charm of Concord Crest Golf Course in East Concord.

The exhibit in the Springville Center for the Arts, 37. N. Buffalo St., Springville, opens Saturday and continues through Nov. 18. A free reception with the artists will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 14.

The artists come from a broad geographic area and employ many media and techniques. Seth Wochensky, executive director of the Springville Center for the Arts, and Chris Stangler, owner of Stangler Fine Arts in Orchard Park, served as jurors for the exhibit.
