Western New York Federal Credit Union has received the green light to expand its membership to all of Erie County, and will increase its branch hours, as well.
Until now, the credit union's field of membership included only West Seneca and nine surrounding towns and villages. That has expanded countywide, with approval of the National Credit Union Administration.
“Our credit union has a long history within the West Seneca area, but I also pride our organization on being forward-thinking," said the credit union's CEO, Marie Betti. "This expansion will allow us to bring our philosophy and services to even more consumers in Western New York."
Western New York FCU's branch is at 1937 Union Road in West Seneca. Starting Oct. 16, the branch will add Saturday business hours, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The credit union is also hiring two additional tellers.
