Letter: Division in this country is nothing to be proud of

Division in this country is nothing to be proud of

It takes quite a bit to get my blood boiling. The last time I sat doing this, the week after Easter Sunday, I was appalled that people wanted to park and pray. Turn the radio on and listen to Mass services from the parking lot.

Here I am again. United we stand. Our children stand; they take a knee when there is an injury. They know no different, until now.

The division in this country is nothing to be proud of. What are we doing to our children’s futures? Better yet, our grandchildren?

Our forefathers who fought and worked so hard didn’t see this one coming. Take a knee, take both and pray. The road we are headed down scares me.

I am grateful to all who serve; to all who suffered injuries while fighting for our freedom, who physically can’t stand anymore and who would be honored to; and to those who lie in their graves. God bless America, and God heal this nation.
