Tonawanda man charged with threatening teen with knife

A City of Tonawanda man was arrested for allegedly threatening a 16-year-old boy who was fishing at the canal in Gateway Park Monday night, City of Tonawanda police said.

The victim told police that a man approached him and pulled out a knife. The victim said he ran to the harbor master's office and called 911. Police located the suspect, Alberto T. Roman, 38, of Simson Street, on Young Street at about 9:30 p.m. and was charged with misdemeanor counts of second-degree menacing, criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use and endangering the welfare of a child.
