'Soprano's' actor to attend Buffalo Niagara Film Festival

Al Sapienza, who starred in "The Sopranos," will make an appearance at the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival.

The actor, whose lengthy resume also includes "House of Cards," "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" and the TV shows "Suits" and "Ascension," will be on hand for the premiere of his film "Gutshot" at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Four Seasons Cinema in Niagara Falls.

In the action-filled "Gutshot," "an ex-soldier goes up against a notorious crime boss after he kills the mobster's son in a home invasion while a detective struggles with his corrupt police force and a card shark does her best to navigate the violence that ensues."

The Buffalo Niagara International Film Festival continues through Sept. 29 at the Four Seasons (2429 Military Road, Niagara Falls) with daily screenings and events. It wraps up with an Awards Day Presentation and Ceremony from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Sheraton at the Falls Hotel, Niagara Falls. Visit thebnff.com for updated information.
