A robber who held up three gas stations in July was sentenced this week to six years in prison.
Michael Church, 39, had pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court in August to three counts of robbery in the second degree in connection with three stick-ups.
At 10:12 p.m. on July 14, he confronted a clerk at the Mobil station on Love Road on Grand Island and stole cash from the register.
At 5:12 a.m. on July 15, he brandished an Uzi while stealing money and cigarettes from a Sunoco station on Union Road in Cheektowaga.
And at 3:30 a.m. on July 16. he robbed another Sunoco, on Delaware Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda, also taking cash and cigarettes.
A Crime Stoppers tip reportedly identified Church to police.
