A small child wearing only a diaper walking alone down a Buffalo street on Monday morning was reunited with family.
Someone on a passing Metro bus spotted the child at about 10 a.m. on Weston Avenue. The citizen got off the bus and then contacted a police officer who was in a nearby parking lot, the Buffalo Police posted on Facebook.
Officers went door to door on Weston to find the child's home and wound up locating the child's grandmother, police said.
The department thanked the concerned citizen for helping get the child back home.
Police did not say whether the grandmother may face any charges.
