3 WNY Red Cross volunteers head to Puerto Rico for hurricane relief

Three Western New York Red Cross volunteers are heading to Puerto Rico on Monday to help with relief efforts following Hurricane Maria.

Jim Nowak of East Aurora, Rachael Snyder of Buffalo and Alexis Willard of Lewiston are among the latest volunteers from the area to assist the agency following hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, the local Red Cross office said.

About 160 volunteers from Western and Central New York have helped provide relief in areas including Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, the U.S. Virgin Island and Puerto Rico, according to the agency.
