As of Saturday afternoon, here is Don Paul's look at the weather for Sunday's Bills-Denver game.
It won't be hot enough for an official heat advisory by National Weather Service criteria, but numbers don't tell the whole story for fans on Sunday. It will be hot and humid with very little breeze to help create evaporative cooling on your skin, especially in tight quarters with other warm people.
TAILGATE FORECAST: Near calm, rapid heating, becoming sunny. Temperatures quickly rise into the 80s, reaching mid 80s by noon.
GAME TEMPERATURE: 86-89
WIND: Light & variable, generally 5-8 mph.
PRECIPITATION: None prior to or during the game.
FORECAST: Sunny, hot & rather humid. A sultry afternoon, stressful for players and for fans in full sunshine. Wind will not be a factor for the kicking/passing game. Heat Index: low 90s.
WHAT TO WEAR: Light colors, lightweight fabric. Caution is advised: Please remember to drink lots of cool water. While beer and other alcoholic beverages may seem to quench your thirst as you're drinking, alcohol is a diuretic, and you will lose more fluid than you take in. So, if you're enjoying beer, you'll still need cool water.
