John Murphy Show Recap: What's the key to a win against Denver?

Former player and current Bills radio color analyst Mark Kelso joined John Murphy and Donald Jones on WGR-550 AM on Friday.

Kelso talked about the line issues in the game against the Panthers and the Bills' predictability on offense. He also talked about the importance of misdirection in the run game, the threat of Von Miller, and the growth of Trevor Siemian.

NFL Films' Greg Cosell joined Jones and Murphy and talked about how alarmed fans should be by the Bills run game, what sort of passing game the Bills should entertain, should players run away from or toward Miller, how has Jared Goff improved in a year, what is going on with Matt Stafford and Jim Bob Cooter and the success of Mike Mularkey in Tennessee.

Andy Major, Buffalo Bills vice president of operations and guest experience, joined the show in his weekly spot to chat about the water bottle deals, amenities available at the stadium to beat Sunday's heat, and he took fan calls on sight adjustments, getting sound to travel around the stadium bowl and the general fan experience.

Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander also joined Murphy and Jones for his weekly "Lo Down" segment, and he talked about whether a good week of practice translates to Sundays, importance of the Saturday walk-through, player-only film review on Saturday nights, leaving Miller unblocked, and Lorenzo's keys to victory on Sunday.

Quotable

Donald Jones: "I think people sleep on Trevor Siemian, but he has a ton of weapons."

John Murphy: "Who'd you rather have, Jordan Matthews or Robert Woods? I say Jordan Matthews – he's a more complete receiver ... I think Jordan Matthews will prove to be better than Robert Woods."

Mark Kelso: "If you hold the ball against this defense for more than 2.2 second, I'm gonna tell Von Miller is gonna be ... screaming off the edge."

Greg Cosell: "I thought that was terrific coverage and an even better catch by Watkins ... that was executed by Watkins and Goff quite well."

Lorenzo Alexander: "If you look at the stats, if you're plus two in turnovers the first two weeks, you win."
