The laughs are booming in Buffalo with several comedy options this week in late September.
Comedian and entertainer Tommy Davidson first caught people’s attention as a sketch comedy star on the Fox series, “In Living Color.” Since then, he’s gone on to multiple comedy specials on Showtime and several film roles in “Strictly Business,” “Bamboozled” and “Juwanna Mann.” Davidson returns to Helium Comedy Club for five shows at 8 p.m. Sept. 21, and 7:30 and 10 p.m. Sept. 22 and 23. North Carolina native Tyrone Davis went up for his first open mic in 2000, and once he got his first laugh, he never looked back. Davis has toured up and down the East Coast and opened for such acts as Diana Ross and Sinbad. He returns to Rob’s Comedy Playhouse in Williamsville for two shows Sept. 23. Back at Helium, several local talents will take the stage for the popular “Edge Comedy Night” showcase. 103.3 FM producer and host James Kurdziel welcomes Buffalo native and national comedy act Matt Bergman as the headliner.
