Buffalo bank robber strikes four times in eight days

One man is suspected of robbing three banks and trying to rob a fourth over the last eight days in Buffalo.

Buffalo police posted an image of the suspect on the department's Facebook page on Tuesday morning and asked the public for information to help identify him. All four crimes have happened since Sept. 11, police said.

The robber last struck an M&T bank branch at 644 Bailey Ave. at 1:47 p.m. Monday, according to police. The robber handed the teller a note demanding money and fled the scene.

The string of crimes began at 1:39 p.m. on Sept. 11 at an M&T branch at 1300 Jefferson Ave. Two days later, he tried robbing a KeyBank branch at 529 Elmwood Ave. at 12:50 p.m. and then robbed an M&T at 130 Grant St. at 2:30 p.m.
