News Sports Columnists Bucky Gleason and Jerry Sullivan analyzed the Bills loss in Carolina on 1270 The Fan on Monday.
Is it too early to bench Tyrod Taylor and play rookie Nathan Peterman at quarterback?
“I know fans are calling for Nathan Peterman to be thrown in there already, but it’s much too early,” Bucky said. “They are weeks away from that.”
“They’re both placeholders for the franchise quarterback,” Sully said. “A year from now, we’re going to be talking about [Sam] Darnold or Mason Rudolph or one of these guys, and Peterman will be the backup.”
“I think it’s zero percent that Tyrod Taylor is here next year,” Bucky said.
Bucky and Sully also talked about what to expect from Jack Eichel under new Sabres coach Phil Housley.
“He is not under the same pressure that Dan Bylsma was,” Bucky said.
