Bandits trade for forward Jordan Durston before NLL Draft

OAKVILLE, ONT. The Bandits bolstered the left side of their offense before Monday's National Lacrosse League Draft, trading right-handed forward Anthony Malcom and the 12th-overall pick to the Vancouver Stealth for 23-year-old forward Jordan Durston.

Durston has spent the previous two seasons with Vancouver, finishing in the top six on the team in scoring in both years. He’s notched 42 goals and 81 points in 35 career games.

Malcom, a British Columbia native, has been with the Bandits since being selected in the second round of the 2015 draft. He’s coming off an injury-shortened season in 2017, scoring 12 goals and 31 points in nine games. He has 29 goals and 69 points in 26 career games.

The Bandits own the first-overall pick in tonight’s draft, which kicks off at 7 p.m. from the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.
